Health & Safety Courses
We currently have two Health & Safety courses on offer at the present moment in time and details on these programmes are as follows: Course No. 1 - Manual Handling Course Code – FAHAS3 Course Duration - 4 Hours Course Cost - £250 + 20% VAT = £300.00 for up to 12 people (or £25.00 per candidate) Manual handling is one of the biggest causes of workplace accidents and so understanding how to lift correctly could help one's employees to avoid serious long term injury. The training course will provide your employees with through guidance on the correct lifting procedures along with some handy hints on the do's and don'ts of manual handling. The course covers: Legislation on Manual Handling Regulations Definition of Manual Handling Employers Responsibilities Employees Responsibilities Anatomy of the Spine Common Lifting Mistakes Lifting-Base Movements and the Ergonomic Approach Manual Handling Exercise (site specific) Summary of Good Practice End of Course De-Brief Course No. 2 – Introduction to Health & safety Course Code – FAHAS4 Course Duration – 4 hours Course Cost - £250 + 20% VAT = £300.00 for up to 12 people (or £25.00 per candidate) The Introduction to Health and Safety is run as a half-day course. The qualification has been designed to meet the needs of those who are entering the workplace either for the first time or by returning to work, by providing an awareness of key health and safety issues and the part that they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work. It will also benefit those who are starting a new job – as part of an induction programme. The course covers: Laws & Regulations Employers Responsibilities Employees Responsibilities Health & Safety Inspections Accident reporting HazardsRisks Risk Assessment Managing Hazards SignsEmergency procedures Quiz FAHAS3 Manual Handling and FAHAS4 Introduction to Health & Safety can
be run totally separately or combined to make up a full days training!
