Aid Courses
Ever since the 1974 Health & Safety at Work Act came into being, it has been mandatory for employers to protect their
staff by assessing for the need for First Aid facilities and training. The training required ranges from
the appointed person's course for those small low hazard businesses to the full First Aid at Work qualifications for medium
and large risk businesses. Once trained and in the event of an accident or illness occurring, your staff’s
training will be vital in saving lives, preventing further harm and providing essential support until the emergency services
arrive. In addition, these
courses may be used in conjunction with coaching qualifications for many sports where minor injuries occur that can be treated
on site as well as to the immediate treatment of serious injuries and illnesses while awaiting the emergency services.
The First Aid at Work - FAW certificate, is seen as the minimum requirement for first
aid cover at public events or where large numbers of people gather to ensure their well-being in the event of accident or
illness. We currently have two first aid courses on offer at the present moment at time and details on
these programmes are as follows:
Course No 1 - Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE approved Course)
Course Code – FAHAS1
Course Duration - 1 Day
Course Cost - £400 + 20% VAT = £480.00
for up to 12 people (or £40.00 per candidate)
This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present very few health and safety hazard and is perfect
for nominated emergency first aiders or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid programme. Students
will learn basic lifesaving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations. The assessment is continuous
by the course tutor and certification will be given on the successful completion of the programme.

Course Duration - 3 days
Course Cost - £1300 + 20% VAT = £1560.00 up to 12 people (or £130.00
per candidate)
This course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. The course will
give anyone the confidence and in-depth knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies and is perfect for nominated workplace
first aider's or anyone wanting a comprehensive first aid programme. Students will gain a wide-ranging presentation
of first aid. The course will give any candidate the knowledge and confidence to deal with any first aid
emergency within the workplace. The course takes place over three consecutive days and after completing
a final assessment all successful candidates will receive a HSE approved certificate, which is valid for three years!
