Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment based on the external use of essential aromatic plant oils to maintain
and promote physical and spiritual wellbeing. The essential oils may be used in massage, added to a warm
bath, used to moisten a compress that is applied to the affected part of the body added to a vaporizer for inhalation or diffused
throughout a room.
This is a practical course on how and when to use the many differing Aromatherapy oils.
Course Content
This program will cover:
Contra-indications to aromatherapy, the history of aromatherapy, the benefits of aromatherapy and the classification of the
different oils and how they can be used to treat differing disorders. But in basic terms you will learn
how perform a full aromatherapy massage before enjoying the benefits of receiving one in return.
What materials are needed for this course?
Please wear loose, comfortable
clothing and bring two large towels plus a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes, although hand-outs and information
sheets will be given out during the course.
What previous knowledge/experience/skills are required?
No previous experience is necessary for this programme and both men and women are welcome. On
completion of the course all attendees shall be given a certificate of attendance/CPD.
