HOPI EAR CANDLES (also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy) - is a pleasant, gentle and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions associated with the ear, nose and throat area. This is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations.

Hopi ear candles may not be the first thing that you think of to treat ear, nose and throat problems, however the candles are used to treat many ailments, including migraine and headaches, glue ear in children, catarrh, sore throats, sinusitis and excessive ear wax. The burning action of the Hopi ear candle infuses the herbs and essential oils into a vapour, which is drawn into the ears auditory canal performing a massaging function, which in turn aids in the softening and removal of any impurities.

This is a practical course on how and when to use Hopi Ear Candles.

Course Content
This program will cover: Contra-indications to Hopi Ear Candling, the history of Hopi Ear Candling, the benefits of Hopi Ear Candling and awareness of human ear anatomy. But in basic terms you will learn how to perform a Hopi Ear treatment before enjoying the benefits of receiving one in return.

What materials are needed for this course?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring two large towels plus a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes, although hand-outs and information sheets will be given out during the course.

What previous knowledge/experience/skills are required?
No previous experience is necessary for this programme as this 1 day course is ideal for beginners with no massage experience or therapists looking to add this popular therapy to their existing treatments.
